Introduction

Mouse ventricular cell
We are studying the properties, physiological roles, and regulatory mechanisms of the cardiac ion channels and ion transporters at the cellular and molecular level using electrophysiological (patch-clamp), molecular biological, computer simulation, and fluorescent imaging techniques. Our goal is to elucidate the mechanisms of heartbeat, and apply the knowledge to medical treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. We are in charge of the lectures of human physiology for medical and post-graduate students.
